Hamlet

Ok so Hamlet seems to be going even more crazy as the play progresses, but I wonder if he hadn't spoken to the "spirit" of his father would he seem as crazy as he is now? It seems to me like this "spirit" is making him crazy and it's changing the way Hamlet thinks about every situation. Also, like Spencer brought up in class, how does the reader even know for sure this "spirit" is even Hamlet's father?

Lady MacBeth's Death

When Macbeth hears about Lady MacBeth's death he acts as though nothing has happened. I think Shakespeare created this unemotional reaction in order to show that MacBeth was too worried about his own well being to be concerned. Although MacBeth loved his wife I think that he may have been somewhat relieved from her aggressive attitude. I'm not saying that he was glad to be free of hearing how he should "grow a pair" I just think that at the time she was not the top priority on his agenda.

Macbeth Murdering the Guards

I find it interesting that Macbeth would go and kill the guards before anyone else had found out that King Duncan had been killed. To me his would seem stupid because why would he kill the guards unless he knew for sure they killed King Duncan? If I were the others this would be the question I would be asking Macbeth. The only way he could have known the guards did it was if he had been there while it was happening. Also guards don't just decide to kill their King unless someone orders them to, which should have also caught the others attention. I think that the other characters in the story are oblivious to life if they couldnt figure this out especially Banquo because he heard what the witches had said to Macbeth.
