Ok so Hamlet seems to be going even more crazy as the play progresses, but I wonder if he hadn't spoken to the "spirit" of his father would he seem as crazy as he is now? It seems to me like this "spirit" is making him crazy and it's changing the way Hamlet thinks about every situation. Also, like Spencer brought up in class, how does the reader even know for sure this "spirit" is even Hamlet's father?
You aren't supposed to know, it enhances the mystery. If you knew the answer there would be no point in going to see the play.
